Description
English: Dr. Robert Horton, a research geologist and petrophysics lab supervisor with the U.S. Geologic Survey shows Djiboutian hydrologists the proper procedures for connecting two lengths of cable together while preparing to take electrical resistance measurements of the earth during a course taught by a team of U.S. water resource experts. The experts, working with Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa have been teaching an advanced course on geophysics in groundwater exploration. CJTF-HOA's capacity building projects contribute to U.S. government efforts to promote clean water, functioning schools and improved medical facilities for a better quality of life.
