  • Significance: This is the home of the pioneer Sherlock family of Fremont County. // The original two rooms of this house were built by the Sherlock family c. 1895. The east bedroom dates from c. 1905, the kitchen from 1908, the front porch from 1930, and the north bedroom from 1935. Fred Stratton acquired the house from the Sherlocks in 1949, and in 1955 sold it to John Woodring. The State of Wyoming acquired the property in 1966 and uses it as a residence for the Superintendent of the historic mining town of South Pass City.
