| Description |
English: Emergency repair work on Bridge Street Row #3 On the 10th February 2010 specialist examination of cracks in a building in Bridge Street Row established that the building was an 'immediate danger'. The row and Bridge Street were immediately closed and scaffolding was erected to stabilise the front of the building. As Bridge Street is temporarily closed to through traffic, access to Watergate Street is now allowed across the pedestrianised Chester Cross area. The massive concrete barriers are for the safety of pedestrians - and the ancient cross. It is still possible for pedestrians to move up and down Bridge Street along the row on the west side of the street. |
