Summary
| Description |
Ennis Friary, County Clare, Ireland English: Restored MacMahon Tomb. Once on the north wall of the choir, it was by 1843 been turned into a “mere heap of carved stones” with the principal carvings used by another tomb. Multiple attempts were made to restore it with the surviving pieces. The photograph shows the last restoration from 1998. The tomb canopy is now displayed in the centre of the nave.
