If anything can add to the certainty of the result alreadyarrived at, it is the fact that the inspired writers of the NewTestament, with one accord, so far as they speak on thesubject, depose against transubstantiation. See Acts ii. 46,and xx. 7. If transubstantiation were true, the substancereceived and eaten in the Eucharist is not bread, but theflesh of Christ. But the sacred historian calls it bread.
