Description
English: Familiar names on the incumbency board at St Peter and St Paul, Exton Sir Frederick Larkins Currie was Vicar here for a comparatively brief period here (The Times Friday, Apr 24, 1885; pg. 4; Issue 31429; col B- Ecclesiastical appointments) before finishing his career at St Andrew's Wells Street W1. His father, a prominent administrator in the Indian Civil Service was the first baronet Currie_Baronets Laurence Woolmer was Bishop of Lahore from 1949 to 1968. I recall him conducting a confirmation at St Peter's, Petersfield about 1972.
