Svenska: Den här häckningen som ett par ladusvalor gjorde sent på hösten höll på att gå överstyr. 11 september, då borde ladusvalorna vara på god väg mot tropiska Afrika, men den här enda ungen verkade inte vilja lämna boet. Trotsig! Och stor dramatik. Kullen hade flugit ut ett par dagar tidigare, och det här var sista natten som en av de vuxna svalorna gjorde sällskap i boet. Nästa natt var ungen ensam, och nästa ... Sedan tog hungern över och den flög ut den 14 september. Det måste innebära att den har stjärnkartan i huvudet, för nu var den inte i familjens sällskap längre och den fick navigera på natten bäst den kunde på den försenade resan mot söder. Om dess öde är okänt.
English: This nesting that a pair of barn swallows did late at autum was going out of control.September 11, when the barn swallows should be well on their way to tropical Africa, this sole juvenile did not seem to want to leave the nest. Defiant! And great drama. The brood had flown out a couple of days earlier, and this was the last night that one of the adult swallows joined the nest. The next night the juvenile was alone, and the next ... Then the hunger took over and it flew out on September 14th. It must mean that it has the star map in its head, because now it was no longer in the company of the family and it had to navigate at night as best it could on the delayed journey south. About its fate is unknown.
