PRIDE OF THE NORTHâA most desirable 90 day variety â which has smaller ears than the late kinds, but is valuable for the North, as it matures early. Planted as late as July 4th, it has fully matured by October 1st The ears have from 14 to 16 rows. It grows from eight to ten inches in length, slightly tapering. Has yielded 100 bushels shelled corn per acre. Kernels are closely set to- gether on the cob, of light orange color, stalks usually grow from six to eight feet in height, producing one or two good ears. Our seed of this variety has been grown for us with special care, from the orig- inal stock. Lb. 25c postpaid; pk. 50c, bu. $1/25. IMPROVED LE AMINOâThis is one of the largest early yel- low dent corns in cultivation, ripening in 90 or 100 days from plant- ing. It surpasses the flint varieties in earliness, productiveness and quality. It is extra early and not a hard flinty com. The ears are large and handsome with deep large grain, orange yellow color and red cob, stalks medium size, tapering gradually, generally producing two good ears each, and husks and shells very easy. Lib. 25c post- paid; pk. 50c, bus. $1.35. - IOWA GOLD MINEâA medium early large yellow dent that is valuable for parts of Iowa and the middle states. The grain is deep, a golden yellow color, ears of good size and cob small Ripens in from 90 to 100 days from planting. Lb. 25c postpaid; pk. 50c, bus. $135. LONG-FELLOW (Flint)âA variety that is particularly adapted to the North. It is an eight-rowed sort, with ears 12 to 15 inches in length, and about 1% inches in diameter. -Small cob, large kernel and very broad. Lb. 25c postpaid; by express or freight, pk. 50c, bus. $1.50. KING OF THE EARLIESâOne of the earliest yellow dent c in cultivation, originated by Mr. A. L. Goddard, of Northern Iowa originator of the "Pride of the North." Stalks grow 6 to 7 feet ears 7 to 9 inches long, very deep, soft grain, and small red cob ripened in 83 days from planting, being a few days earlier than "I of the North" and "Yellow Canada Flint." Its originator claims! corn will mature in any part of the country where it is possible to g early Flint varieties, and is a valuable variety for the extreme north for feeding purposes. Lb. 25c postpaid; by freight or express, 50c, bus. $1.35. KING PHILIPâAn extra early reddish colored flint variety t is valuable for the North. Matures generally within three months £ planting. EARLY HURON DENTâIntroduced several years ago by a U grower in the middle states and is acknowledged to be one of the earl pure yellow dent corns in cultivation at the present time. The grai of a bright golden, orange color, stalk and ear of fair size with ai small cob. The grain is rather deep and singularly smooth. Desirabl account of its rapid growth. It is an exceedingly valuable dent \ iety for the northern parts of the TJ. S., and a test of this vaxi showed that 70 lbs. of ears has made 64V2 lbs. of shelled ci which leaves only 5% lbs. for the cobs. This will give our custoi some idea of its vield of shelled corn per acre. Lb. 25c postpaid; 50c, bus. $1 50. FARMERS FAVORITEâA large medium early yellow deni yields heavily on all kinds of soils, and is of the greatest value for sections, as it is a rank grower and withstands the drouth better most dent sorts.
