| Description |
English: Farmland, near Inkpen. And a monument. The crop in the middle distance is oilseed rape. The same area was being ploughed in October last year 580072 The monument in the foreground shows up very clearly on Google Earth. It is recent (1993) and commemorates the use of the area in May 1944 by a Parachute Regiment battalion for training for a successful D-Day operation. |
