English: Farmland near Handley Hill Cranborne Chase Dorset. Today the stubble field in the foreground is being rolled. This view is taken from the intersection of the Roman Road and the B3081. In the distance is chalk downland with some plantations of mixed woodland. Left of centre on the skyline is a clump of pine trees on Penbury Knoll the site of an iron age camp.The tree on the right is a tasty self sown apple. |
