Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Farmland on Deeping Fen. The rich dark farmland here is only one metre above sea level and relies on a network of ditches to drain the fields. These drains take the place of hedges as field boundaries hence the vast open landscape which is ideal for the use of wind power for energy generation. The turbines on the horizon are to the west of Deeping St Nicholas and can be seen for miles around. (See281444 and 281462) |
