Summary
[edit]DescriptionFassfearn bridge - geograph.org.uk - 66416.jpg |
English: Fassfearn bridge. This single lane stone brig carried all the A830 Mallaig to Fort William road traffic over the An t-Suileag right up until around 1972. At that time Mallaig was a very busy herring port generating much heavy truck traffic. Now it carries just a few local vehicles a day. Dramatic rapids, especially in spate conditions , lie just down stream of this point. |
