Description
English: Photograph, black and white, of Ferenc JOACHIM (1882-1964), Hungarian (Magyar) artist painter, and his wife born Margit GRAF (1892-1965) and their first of three children daughter Piroska (1913- ). Photograph is a family heirloom. In the Hungarian or Magyar language usage the name is, JOACHIM Ferenc. He also used the honorific prefix "Csejtei" and therefore was also known as Csejtei Joachim Ferenc and often signed his paintings using abbreviations as Cs Joachim F . During World War I, from 1914 to 1918, Ferenc JOACHIM served in the Austria Hungary Dual Monarchy army known as the "kaiserlich und königlich," or the "and Royal k.u.k." army which is the explanation of the uniform he is wearing in this photograph recorded in 1916.
