Summary[edit]

Description
English: The first part of this recording shows a common bout of fighting between male chameleon grasshoppers (Kosciuscola tristis). Three males are primarily involved in the fight with four surrounding. During the fighting the female’s oviposition is interrupted. The second recording shows a defending male and a challenger with the defending male using mandible display. The challenger attacks the defender and successfully usurps his position.
