Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya as Secretary of the Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) has been registered as a resident of Sepaku District, the IKN development area.

He exercised his right to vote in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) which took place at the Special Voting Place (TPS), IKN Rest Area, on Wednesday (14/02/2024). Secretary Jaka exercised his right to vote with his wife, Ratih Haryati.

In the IKN area there are two special TPS located in the Rest Area and 424 TPS spread across three sub-districts, namely Sepaku, Penajam and Waru.

"The IKN Authority together with the North Penajam Paser Regency Government (PPU), KPUD PPU, Panwaslu PPU, TNI, Polri, and IKN Main Construction Management (MKI) have worked together to ensure that IKN workers can exercise their right to vote," said Secretary Jaka.

In line with Secretary Jaka, Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) PPU, Irwan Syahwana stated, "We have prepared optimally for the elections in the Sepaku area and we have coordinated and socialized the elections to prospective voters, especially IKN workers."

Wiwik Susiati, KPU Data and Information Planning Division, Sepaku Regional Coordinator, PPU Regency also added, "We from the KPU have also carried out as much outreach as possible, both directly visiting TPS and PPK, writing to companies and central offices in Samarinda and Balikpapan. Business "We are also facilitated by the Regional Police, the Regional Police and the Acting Regent of the PPU for socialization regarding the additional voter list (DPTb) for IKN workers."

The atmosphere of the election process was well maintained as expressed by Muhammad Hafidz, Chair of the Voting Committee, Bumi Harapan Village, District. Football. "Thank God the election process ran smoothly, conducively and safely."

Secretary Jaka expressed his hope, "The 2024 election will be the right momentum for the consolidation of democracy towards complete democracy to realize IKN as the nation's capital which for the first time was designed, built and realized by the Sons and Daughters of the Indonesian Nation."

"In line with the mandate of Law Number 21 of 2023 concerning National Capital, geographically IKN was built right in the middle of the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, both from north to south and east to west. Of course IKN will be a symbol of justice for all the people "Indonesia because development is no longer focused on Java-centric but Indonesia-centric," he explained.

This is done to accelerate and realize Golden Indonesia 2045 with IKN as the first green, smart, advanced and global-minded forest city in the world.
