Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Fish weir The Owenmore River is one of Connemara's foremost fisheries. The structures are a legacy from the ownership for a time by His Highness, The Maharaja Jorn Sahib of Nawanagar, who spared no expense in developing the fishery by building footbridges and weirs and stone-built casting piers which still stand all along the fishery. This particular weir has video cameras to observe and count the ascending fish.
