English: Fishers Mill Bridge near Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire Birmingham and Fazeley Canal.
The county border crosses the bridge, so this side is Staffordshire and the far side is Warwickshire. The Heart of England Way footpath uses the towpath here. The bridge was probably just for farm use, but now maybe the track is used to gain access to the extensive large lakes and pools to the east (left) of the canal. Kingsbury Water Park, which is situated between Kingsbury and Bodymoor Heath, is a series of 15 lakes, situated in 600 acres of land. It was reclaimed from the old gravel pits. It is now home to a camp site, children's play areas, a sailing club, model boat club and jet ski and power boat racing clubs. (Wikipedia) |
