| Description |
English: Fleetwood 3rd railway station (site), Lancashire Opened in 1883 by the Preston & Wyre Joint Railway (joint between the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and the London & North Western Railway), this station replaced an earlier one several hundred metres further from the camera position. It closed in 1966 and the site was redeveloped for loading road vehicles onto ferries. View south east at the site of the old frontage. No trace remains. The station can be seen from a similar angle on SD3448 : Fleetwood Ferry tram terminus, Lancashire - August, 1959. |
