Summary

[edit]
Description The pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three pyramids of Giza. It stands only about 215 feet high, not even half the height of the "Great Pyramid". It was built as a tomb for Menkaure, a pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty. On the right, you can see three subsidiary pyramids. In the distance is the modern city of Cairo, which now sprawls to the very edge of the Giza Plateau.
