Yard and free Employmentagencies for men and women. The efficient co-operation of the religious bodies of the communityin the work of the City Mission is the best evidence of the fraternal spirit which unites Hebrews andChristians in a common cause. The city abounds in established works and institutions of mercy, such as orphanages, rescue homes, hospitals, the Home of the Merciful Saviour for Invalid Children(which ministers to helpless little ones in all the northern counties); and the charitable spirit of thecommunity generously sustains these institutions with increasing abundance. To sum up this reviewof spiritual conditions in Sacramento, we may say without exaggeration, that no earnest, religioussettler of any Christian persuasion whatever will fail to find opportunity for the practice of his re-ligious faith and the training of his children in the church of his choice. He will also find a com-munity in which religion is deeply respected, and its essential character recognized.
