Summary[edit]

Description	FOLSOM, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2011) - Looking west and downstream in an aerial view over Folsom Dam on the American River, prior to construction of the Folsom Lake Crossing bridge here on March 16, 2004. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District was authorized to build the bridge in 2004, after security concerns closed the road atop the dam, a major commuter throughway, in 2003. The Corps completed the bridge in March 2009.
