| Description |
English: Footbridge on Cycle Route 7. The section of National Cycle Network Route 7 between Dalreoch and Dalquhurn was closed between 22nd October 2008 and 25th January 2009 for engineering works.
The path was widened and resurfaced. The footbridge shown here is one of two that are quite close together in this area (for the other one, see 1136063). It replaces a previous wooden bridge that was in the same spot, and which is shown here: 1049213. The photographer's location and the view direction are the same in both pictures. The photograph was taken on the day that this section of NCN7 re-opened; although some disruption is unavoidable, it will take a while for the plant life alongside the path to recover, and the area will look rather bleak in the meantime (for a view several months later, see 1449120). |
