Summary

[edit]
Description

The Ford Telstar was the replacement for the Ford Cortina in Australia. It was a rebadged Mazda 626 and built and sold in Australia as a sedan and a 5dr hatch. Later on in the years, there was also a wagon, which was only sold in Japan and New Zealand.

The first generation Telstar was voted Australian Car Of The Year, an award it shared with the Mazda 626, it would also be the second time the Telstar/626 twins would take out the Australian COTY.

These are very thin on the ground now, especially these first generation models, but this one however, has been well looked after.
