| Description |
English: Fort William railway station (site), Highland Opened in 1894 by the West Highland Railway as the terminus of the line from Glasgow (it was later extended to Mallaig), this terminus station closed in 1975 when it was replaced by one about 1km north of here. View north east from what would have been near the buffers. The taller building in the centre appears on a number of pictures dating from around the time of closure, being just behind the station. The platform area is now a road. |
