| Description |
English: Foulk Stapleford, the River Gowy. The River Gowy looking downstream from the footbridge at the junction of footpaths Foulk Stapleford 3 and 4. The river is canalised across much of the flood plain (witness the high earth banks) to restrain its tendency to flood in winter. The surrounding farmland is typical of the area - mixed farming with cattle, sheep and some cereal crops. |
