English: Gainsborough Lea Road railway station, Lincolnshire, 2012 Opened in 1867 as "Gainsborough" by the Great Northern Railway, this later became part of the joint GNR/GER line from Doncaster to Lincoln. It became "Gainsborough Lea Road" at the end of 1923. View north west towards Doncaster, on the sharp curve round to the Trent Bridge. The platform on the left was moved southwards in 2019 - see SK8188 : Gainsborough Lea Road railway station, Lincolnshire. |
