Deutsch: Die Generale Hans Georg von Plessen (Bildmitte) und Moriz von Lyncker (rechts) beobachten Kaiser Wilhelm II. und Otto von Emmich, den Kommandeur des X. Armee-Korps. Dritter von links ist der Stadtdirektor von Hannover, Heinrich Tramm. Anläßlich der Einweihung des Neuen Rathauses in Hannover wartet er geduldig, während der Kaiser zuerst den General Emmich begrüßt. Das schwarze Kreuz unterhalb von Moritz von Lynker deutet auf die Herkunft der Ansichtskarte aus dem Nachlaß des Hauses von Lynker (siehe bitte auch die Diskussion. Der Hinweis auf Emmich als Sieger von Lüttich in der Bildunterschrift ist ein Zusatz aus den Jahren des Ersten Weltkriegs (1914-1918).
