The Forestry Hallof the Museum contains a nearly com-plete collection of the native trees northof Mexico presented by Morris K. Jesup.On the right is a bronze tablet, by J. E.Fraser, the gift of J. J. Clancy, depictingMr. Jesup as he walked in his favoritewood at Lenox, Massachusetts, and infront a bust of Charles Sprague Sargentunder whose direction the collection wasbrought together. At the farther end is abust of John Muir, by Malvina Hoffman,presented by Mrs. E. H. Harriman. To the left is a section of one of theBig Trees of California, sixteen feet indiameter and 1341 years old. (See GuideLeaflet No. 42.)
