The text describes the festive lighting in Dresden, installed on the occasion of the wedding of Charles III, King of Spain with Maria Amalia of Saxony
Illustrations: plates [1]-[9] depict architectural landmarks in Dresden, all festively illuminated at night: bound as frontispiece a night scene of a large crowd of people gathering around the "Pavillion"; the view of the "Schloss Thurm", the "Obeliscus", the exterior and an interior views of the "Gräfl. Brühlisches Palais", and facades of houses of "Baron von Löwenthal", "Graf Rutowski", "Geh. Rath von Hennïcke", and "Chevallier de Saxe". Plates no. [10] and [11] depict the plan of the table setting of an elaborate confection, prepared for the royal wedding
