| Description |
English: (1in a multiple picture set ) One of the reasons I always wanted to stop in Glenwood Springs was to see the grave of the infamous Doc Holliday of Tombstone, AZ fame. He died here from his chronic TB. Just before we left on this trip, in doing research, I learned that he is not really buried under this marker. He was buried nearby, but in a secret location (perhaps the backyard of the home in which he died) because the authorities were worried that people would dig up the grave to get souvenirs of the notorious gunfighter. |
