| Description |
English: Goodbye to the Melting Shop On the Stanton Iron Works site, many parts of this plant have disappeared over the years, this was the largest remaining building. I believe it was the main melting shop.
Saint-Gobain are due to be submitting plans for the redevelopment of the site in early 2010. It is likely to be for mixed development of commercial units and up to 4,000 houses. The main controversy will be over the plans for a new access road linking the site to the A52 in some way. |
