| Description |
English: Grand Union Canal, Foxton The working narrowboat in the foreground advertises coal for sale. Some of the coal is evidently being used to fuel a stove inside - no doubt making things very warm and cosy on this cold day. Nevertheless, the boatman and his dog are on the outside surveying the scene. They are restricted as to where they can take their coal because the lock flight is undergoing winter maintenance. |
