Summary[edit]

Description
English: Grange Farm, East Newton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The hamlet of Newton (later called East Newton) was recorded from 1086. It probably had a main street running east-west with a parallel back lane and by the 18th century there was a green. East Newton had 24 inhabitants in 1801, 41 in 1841 and 25 in 1931. Only three houses remained in 1991, two of which had been rebuilt (information from Victoria County History). Many of the farm buildings at Grange Farm now appear to be in ruins.
