| Description |
English: Great Wygill A kilometre to the west, a sign points along a track to "Kettlepot Bog" and the map shows that track leading to the head of this stream. With recent rain, the bog is full of water and the peat-stained overflow is heading down this beck to its confluence with Rea Gill just behind the photographer, after which the name changes to Ease Gill. The road bridge over Rea Gill is very close at this point, which has been used as a put-in for some very determined canoeists looking for a first descent of this water course which changes name several times before becoming Sleightholme Beck and flowing into the River Greta just upstream of Bowes. |
