K B H, le grand aileron qui s'étend jus-qu'auprès de la queue. I F L, l'aileron de derrière l'anus, qui est presque semblable au grand aileron du dos. I, l'anus. M, la nageoire de derrière les ouies. N, la nageoire de dessus la poitrine est blanche, formée de six rayons, les trois de devant se divisent & présentent trois longues pointes qui excédent les membranes qui les unissent; la première de ces pointes est la plus courte, & la dernière la plus longue. L, un barbillon qui est à la mâchoire inférieure. Fig. 2. A, l'estomac qui est allongé, épais & très fort; on le représente ouvert pour faire voir des plis de sa membrane intérieure. B, le pylore. Le petit Lingue du Nord, qui se distingue du grand, non-seulement parce qu'il est plus petit, n'ayant tout au plus qu'un pied de longueur; mais encore à cause des grands filets qu'il a sous la gorge au lieu de nageoires.
