Description
Deutsch: Feldsteinmauer in Grunow; ein Mauerteil rechts im Bild wurde sehr wahrscheinlich aus einem einzigen großen Findling errichtet. Grunow ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Oberbarnim im Landkreis Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg. Das 1315 erstmals urkundlich erwähnte Dorf liegt auf dem Barnim im Naturpark Märkische Schweiz und hatte 2010 (incl. Ortslage Ernsthof) rund 350 Einwohner. Aufgrund seiner Feldsteinbauten und -straßen ist Grunow Teil der Oberbarnimer Feldsteinroute, einer 41,5 Kilometer langen kultur- und bauhistorischen Wander- und Fahrrad-Route auf den Spuren des Baumaterials Feldstein.
English: Fieldstone wall in Grunow; a part in the right of the picture was built probably by one glacial erratic. The village Grunow is a civil parish (Ortsteil) of the municipality Oberbarnim in the District Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg, Germany. Grunow was first mentioned in written documents in 1315 and is situated on the Barnim Plateau in the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park. In 2010 the village had about 350 inhabitants (incl. it’s part Ernsthof). Due to its fieldstone-Builsdings and –streets Grunow is a part of the Oberbarnimer Feldsteinroute, a 41,5 kilometers long walking and bike trail in the traces of the building material fieldstone.
