DescriptionHST (High Speed Train) 125 to the West Country - geograph.org.uk - 1706406.jpg |
English: HST (High Speed Train) 125 to the West Country, near to Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire, Great Britain.
This was taken whilst waiting to catch a photograph of this rather less often seen locomotive SU2763 : LNER Gresley Class A4 60019 en route to Bristol Temple Meads. The HST125 is, despite its ubiquity, worth recording as it is one of the most successful post-war trains used on the national rail network. Coming into service in the 1970s it is still doing sterling service on those lines not yet electrified. |
