Summary[edit]
DescriptionHallsands Bay - geograph.org.uk - 16472.jpg |
English: Hallsands Bay. The village of Hallsands from near Start Point. Hallsands was a small fishing village that was destroyed by an easterly gale in 1917. The tragedy was made worse because previous removal of gravel from the bay had reduced the village's coastal defences. You can see the remains of some of the cottages on the left side. |
