| Description |
English: On the Grand Union Canal, this is the pound above Lock No 43 in the Hatton flight of 21 at 18:50 BST. The water is about a metre down. Two hours earlier, having locked up the flight through continuous rain, I noticed the level to be about 30cm down, but unless someone left a paddle open after we went through I can't see how all the water disappeared. Water levels above Lock 44, and below 43 were normal.
The Waterman is off camera to the left from the white house, an eatery rather than a pub, but the ale is OK. |
