Summary
[edit]| Description |
English: Haythwaite at the foot of Barningham Moor Haythwaite is at the point where the minor road from Barningham to Hope deteriorates to an uncoloured one. A bridleway heads off uphill onto the open moor from behind the photographer, whilst the land behind the farm slopes away to the wooded Woodclose Gill (a tributary of the River Greta). The ash tree to the right of the farm sums up the day - it looks as though it is nearly being blown off the fell, which is how I felt ! |
