| Description |
English: Hedge End electricity substation under construction This new 33/11 KV substation is being built next to the railway line and to Bubb Lane. It is needed to meet increased demand due to the amount of house building in the area SE of Tollbar Way. The substation will receive power at 33 KV from Netley Common by a route which is as yet unclear. The two 33 to 11 KV transformers, or rather their oil-filled cooling systems, can be seen at right. (elevated camera position) |
