Description
English: Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) The plant was introduced in 1839 to Kew Gardens as a greenhouse plant. It can meanwhile also be found in the wild, by now naturalised in the British Isles and many other non-native countries. The plant is very invasive and should be removed when found. Other names are Policeman's helmet, Indian Touch-Me-Not, Ornamental Jewelweed, Pink Peril, Poor Man's Orchid. For more information see http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/himalbals.htm
