English: Doubled-headed brick train off the Midland line coming Up through Hitchin Station. View northward from the north end of the Down platform; ex-Great Northern ECML. The train of typical eight-wheel bogie high-capacity wagons is headed by two ex-Midland 3F 0-6-0's (Nos. 43808 and 43766)and has come off the ex-Midland line from Bedford; these engines will hand over here to an Eastern Region locomotive for the journey on to London. |
