Description
English: Holtby House, Thwaite Street, Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Among a series of impressive houses on the north side of Thwaite Street, east of the railway, Holtby House was built in the 19th. century under the name 'Bainesse' but was renamed in honour of the authoress Winifred Holtby whose family lived here in the 1930's.
