Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Holy Trinity Church, Minsterley. An unusual 17C church (1689), dedicated to the Holy Trinity and noted for its display of "maidens' garlands" (made for the funerals of young girls). The photo is taken rather close to show the skulls and bones in the decoration over the door, so unfortunately the belfry disappears off the top of the picture. The belfry does not look original, having white-painted pediments in 18C style over brown louvres. Over it is a weather-vane appropriately topped by a cross.
