English: LIBI_00019_00425; This item is an original albumen photograph of horsemen gathered on the west side of the Little Big Horn River at Reno Crossing. The photograph is 6 7/8 x 9 7/8" mounted on brown card with gilded gold or bronze along all 4 edges. The card photograph was produced at on unknown date by David F. Barry. On the front, a typed caption embossed in gold or bronze ink reads, "Little Big Horn River/West Side Reno Crossing/Custer Battle Field/June 25th, 1886." The photographer's stamp is printed on the left side of the image. On the verso, a handwritten notation in pencil reads, "Col. Reno with 7th Cavalry, Dakota." Handwritten description provided by Elizabeth B.
