| Description |
English: Hospital and church cheek by jowl Another view of the hospital buildings so bizarrely grafted on to a C18 mansion beside the old priory church. The hospital opened in 1922 and at that date operations were carried out by a visiting surgeon. Over the years it became a GP unit and eventually the casualty department ceased to be a 24-hour facility. Nowadays it offers a minor injuries unit run by nurses, as well as physio and occupational therapy. |
