Description

My name is Jonathan Lee Haun. I am a captain in the Navy Dental Corps and a prosthodontist. I hail from Medford, a small town in southern Oregon. I was born in South Korea. At the age of 18 months, I was adopted by an American family. I grew up in the Oregon countryside where patriotism and Christian values were deeply rooted. After joining the Marine Corps, I never doubted I would make a career in the military. It was a perfect fit. I started my Navy adventure as an enlisted Marine. I spent four years on active duty with an Avionics military occupational specialty (MOS). I spent another six years in the Marine Corps Reserve while completing my undergraduate degree and part of dental school. During my sophomore year of dental school, I was accepted into Navy Dentistry and commissioned an ensign.
