Notre dessin est tiré du Psallerium ctimjigaris, Suppl. fi. ii 32 , Bibl. roy. — On re-marquera les neufs chœurs des anges, qui sont groupés trois à trois; cette ordonnanceest allégorique et se trouve expliquée dans la Céleste hiérarchie de saint Denys lAréopa-gite. Il en sera longuement question dans lHistoire de lAnge. Remarquons, cependantet au préalable, que ces neuf chœurs sont identiques dans notre dessin. Il est impossible,faute dattributs spéciaux, de distinguer les Séraphins, les Chérubins et les Trônes, quicomposent le premier groupe; les Dominations, les Vertus et les Puissances, qui formentle second; les Principautés, les Archanges et les Anges, qui entrent dans le troisième.Les Grecs caractérisent les anges beaucoup plus nettement. 246 INSTRUCTIONS. 65.
