English: Title: In spotlight at Senate Lobby Committee. Washington, D.C., March 18. Dr. Edward A. Rumely (right) Executive Secretary of the Committee to uphold constitutional government, who today defied a Senate subpoena when he refused to turn over the files of his organization to the Senate Lobby Committee, is shown with his counsel Elisha Hanson, shortly before taking the stand. Chairman Sherman Minton ordered Dr. Rumely to surrender such files concerning campaigns against New Deal legislation, but he refused to do so on advice of counsel, 3/18/38
